The charming Cashelmara Condominiums, located on the shores of Lake Erie in Bay Village, boast a rich history beginning in 1898 with a mansion built by Washington Lawrence, a pioneer in the manufacturing of electrical and carbon products. In 1948, the property was purchased by the Sheppard family and converted to The Bay View Osteopathic Hospital.
The early 1980’s brought the final transformation of the now 110-unit condominium property when architect and developer Bob Corna created units out of the closed hospital and surrounding area. It was then aptly named Cashelmara, meaning “stone house by the sea” in Gaelic.
Beyond sharing vast amenities for every condo at Cashelmara, panoramic views of Lake Erieʼs sunrise and sunset are available from most units. Each unique layout at Cashelmara shares ample guest parking, heated garage parking, an indoor pool, beautifully landscaped green space, community space and the pride of ownership in one of Bay Villageʼs most treasured historic locations!
